unpopular opinion: golden gai is better when you go alone

went with a group the first time and honestly hated it. too crowded, couldn't fit anywhere, everyone wanted different bars. went back solo and somehow had one of the best nights of the trip. ended up talking to random people for hours. am i crazy or is golden gai basically designed for solo travelers 😭
