what's the most overrated nightlife advice people keep repeating

for me it's "just stay in roppongi." half the interesting places i've found were nowhere near roppongi. feels like people repeat the same advice because they heard someone else say it first. what's the nightlife tip everybody swears by that you completely disagree with
