unpopular opinion: japanese bar staff ignoring you is actually respectful not rude
kept reading complaints about staff being cold or not engaging. genuinely think people are misreading it 🤔 they're not ignoring you, they're giving you space. every time i've actually wanted to talk the staff have been warm and engaged. the vibe is just "we won't hover." took me two trips to appreciate it but now i prefer it. anyone else had this realization
