unpopular opinion: izakayas are better nightlife than actual clubs

i know this isn't what people come to tokyo nightlife threads for but hear me out 🍻 cheap, locals everywhere, food included, way less pressure than a club, and somehow more memorable every single time. spent more nights in random izakayas than clubs this trip and zero regrets. anyone else quietly prefer this
