tokyo club dress code - what's actually enforced vs what's just online noise

been reading conflicting stuff about dress codes. some say strict some say whatever. sneakers seem fine at most places from what i've gathered?? the bigger roppongi spots might care more. tbh the thing i got turned away for once wasn't outfit it was too many guys in the group lol. that seems like the more real issue for foreigner groups
