the one thing that actually saved me money on every japan trip

not a hack, not a secret spot. just deciding my budget before i left the hotel and leaving my card there 💡 cash only for the night, whatever's in my pocket is the limit. sounds obvious but the number of times i've made terrible ¥40,000 decisions because my card was right there is embarrassing. anyone else have a stupid simple thing that actually works
