not really a scam warning just practical info kyoto shuts down way earlier than tokyo or osaka. most bars close around midnight-1am. trains stop earlier too (around 11:30pm on some lines) if you're used to tokyo where everything runs until 5am you'll be caught off guard. plan your night earlier and figure out accommodation before you go out pontocho is great but by 1am it's basically dead
