unpopular opinion: getting scammed once is almost a tokyo rite of passage and i'm not even mad about mine anymore

lost ¥30,000-ish to a tout situation my first trip. was furious for days. now, three trips later, i kind of laugh about it 😂😂 every long time visitor i've talked to has a version of this story. doesn't make it okay but it stopped being a wound and became a bit. anyone else's scam story eventually turned into a party anecdote
