anyone else feel like tokyo nightlife has a totally different energy depending on what time you arrive

like if you show up to a club at 11pm it's completely dead and you think you made a mistake. show up at 2am and it's a totally different place. took me embarrassingly long to figure out the timing 😭 also golden gai at midnight vs golden gai at 3am are two completely different experiences. is this just tokyo or is this everywhere in japan frfr
