unpopular opinion: the host club / girl bar scene is genuinely interesting even if you're not spending money

hear me out. i'm not spending ¥100k at a host club but walking around kabukicho and seeing the whole ecosystem operating is kind of fascinating?? the guys outside in full makeup, the girls bar menus, the whole economy of it. i find it more interesting than another generic tourist bar. anyone else just kind of observe the scene without fully participating or is that weird lol 🔥
